About the AC/DC 2009 Tour
AC/DC is going on tour for the final time according to band members and AC/DC tickets will be the hottest concert tickets this fall. The tour will follow the release of their new album, which reportedly will be titled Black Ice, which will be released October 28th. They will be embarking on an 18-month trip and will hit 17 countries.
The Black Ice World tour is the band’s first since 2001 and according to band members it might be their last. The tour kicks off at Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA on Oct. 28 and ends the USA portion at the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN on Jan. 31, 2009. AC/DC tickets are still available for almost all shows on the tour and they will be visitng big name venues accross the country such as Allstate Arena, Conseco Fieldhouse, TD Banknorth Garden, Madison Square Garden, Verizon Center, Wachovia Center, IZOD Center, AT&T Center, Toyota Center, Philips Arena, Time Warner, & many more venues and cities throughout the USA and the world!
The running joke is that AC/DC makes the same record every time out; anthemic numbers with simple three chord guitar work, ragged vocals and a treading backbeat. The truth is that the group hasn't made a really great album in almost 20 years, and the drivel released recently doesn't even qualify as mediocre. It's refreshing then to hear the sound of "Black Ice," the band's first work of new material in more than eight years!
